Pharmaceutical Alliance

Welcome

The Pharmaceutical Alliance is delighted to announce the trialling of our unique state-of-the-art decision support software tool for primary care – DAVE™.

Developed in partnership with GPs and diabetes experts, DAVE™ addresses some of the significant challenges faced by GPs – namely maximising every interaction they have with type 2 diabetes patients.

With the average GP consult lasting just 15 minutes1, making each and every minute count is an important priority in preventing the progression of this disease. DAVE™ allows healthcare professionals to complete the complex reviews and decision-making processes for type 2 diabetes patients within the time constraints of a consult.

DAVE™ ultimately seeks to help GPs and their patients achieve greater control of this chronic disease and reduce associated health complications, and maintain or improve the patient’s quality of life.

See DAVE™ at the AGPN 2009 Forum – DAVE™ will be presented, for the first time, at the Australian General Practice Network 2009 Forum in Sydney on 5 and 6 November by Sydney GP, Dr David Lim, who has been using the tool since October 2008.

The Pharmaceutical Alliance is a working collaboration of three like-minded Australian healthcare companies – Eli Lilly, Merck Sharp & Dohme and sanofi-aventis. We are committed to a collaborative, innovative and practical approach to Quality Use of Medicines (QUM), with an emphasis on evidence-based practice, to ultimately deliver better health outcomes for Australians.
